Computer Randomly shuts down after cleaning the CPU fan.

My computer was working fine these past few days but today I decided to do some cleaning, I did everything, organized the cables inside. The last thing I decided to do was clean up the CPU fan because it was very dusty. Everything went fine until I put everything back together and now my computer CPU fan makes a loud noise when I turn my computer on and it it says "strike F1 to try again" after few seconds it depends the computer shuts down immediately. I'm desperate, I have important work on that computer and I don't know what to do.

check that the cpu fan wires not pinched to the side of the fan and the cpu cooler on tight and you pluged the cpu coler back into the cpu port on the mb. also check that both power and data cables on the drives are locked in.

My CPU is an i7 930. I've never cleaned the fan before but I did notice that there was no thermal paste, do you think that might be the issue?

it could possibly be overheating and just turning of right away. Also inspect the pins and the wire the fan connects to check or any possible damage
