I have an i3 haswell and built an ITX macintosh, I'm looking for a real quiet cpu coolerall the fans in my case are noctura so they're quiet, but the noctura cpu fan doesn't fit, I need one that is the same size as the stock cooler.

You wont get a real quiet fan unless you bodge a wider fan on the heatsink;the problem is the stock fan is small. I run an Arctic Alpine 11 gt r2 on my 4430 and I leave the asus smart fan off . It spins at 900 rpm and is almost inaudible. Playing Startrek online with some other guff open gives 40 degrees C at those revs, Plenty good enough.
(Quiet enough)
The whole assembly is the same shape as the stock unit. Its a board out job to fit it tho.It also costs peanuts and is rated at 95 watts. An i3 wouldnt pass 40 c flat out.

The Noctua NH-L9i linked above is probably your best choice if it fits.
