I was looking at some Msi graphics cards and then my friend tells me nvidia is better. Should I get the Msi video card or the nvidia video card? MSI n770 tf 4dg5/oc vs EVGA GeForce GTX 770

Nvidia and Advaced Micro Devices compete and make the huge graphics chips that go in graphics cards. They also make 'reference' or standard graphics cards using there own gpu's. M.S.I. make aftermarket graphics cards from both Nvidia and A.M.D. chips. M.S.I. have a reputation for having the fastest clocked versions, but alas, have been caught out doctoring cards at dangerously high voltages in the past which makes them untrustworthy to this old git I am afraid.A £200 graphics card should last years not months. Buy an Asus version.

get the cheaper model with 2GB memory ...
4GB models are unnecessary pricey and useless unless you are not planning SLI and
gaming in higher than 1080p resolution ...
they are both the same cards - only difference is the cooling solution ,
both models are quite good in terms of noise and temperatures , get the cheaper of the two ...

I heard some games go over 2 gb and how 4gb would future proof it for a bit because I'm trying to make a gaming computer.

I agree with everything that you said. Asus or HIS, I've had good luck with them as well

in full-hd resolution performance would be the same (99% of the time) ...
by the way : for the price of 4gb gtx 770 you could get amd 290 with decent cooler ...
