Minecraft FPS Drops

I've been playing minecraft and I average around 200 FPS when playing smoothly, but when I turn towards lava or big structures (Mountains, boats, ect [I'm playing a mod pack, but it's supposed to be easy to run]) it drops very low to like 5-10 and stutters for a second. I know this isn't some huge deal and that 60 FPS would be a good constant, but the huge dropping is annoying. My scpecs are pretty decent and I run everything on pretty low.

My PC Specs are:
i7-4770
GTX 750 Ti (I know this thing is shit, my 760 broke and I need to get it replaced with the warranty)
16gb RAM

If you have any idea why it's doing this please let me know. It's very annoying. I'd rather run it at a constant 30 that it drop like this.

Also, I'm pretty sure someone may ask if my PC is overheating. So, here are the temps under load.

CPU 49c
MOBO 28c
GPU 47c
HD 39c

Try running around without the mod pack for a little while and see if it continues to drop.

If it still does...try using the default texture pack.

If that still doesn't work...I would suggest OptiFine so that way you can go into the Animation settings and turn off the animation for lava. I would suspect that its the animation of lava that is making your fps drop. Now with big buildings and such...that could possibly be the graphics card its self trying to render all the blocks. It could also be your view distance...if it is too great...like I know my old...

I do, I can literately put everything on low and still get these drops, and how would it make scene that I can get 200+ FPS until I look at lava?

It could also be your view distance...if it is too great...like I know my old GTX 680's couldn't handle the extreme sight distance at all...I would get between 5-20 fps.

Also...in that OptiFine...if all that still hasn't worked...there is an option in there to smooth FPS and keep it at a constant. That might work. Or...if that doesn't work...I would go into the Nvidia Control Panel, 3D Application Settings and change the Vertical Sync to "Always On." That will force your Graphics card to stay at and only at 60 FPS which is the usual Monitor Refresh Rate.

Hope this helps! :)
