FX 6300 will be best at that budget and way better than i3 in overall performance

Edit: Thanks for the answer but give the OP a little time

FX6300 you usually have to overclock and get a better cooler. I'd prefer FX8320.

i3 is bottom end. i5 will do for most builds.

Watchdogs wants a quad core - i7 3770k or FX8350 - http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri?gameName=watc...

yes watchdogs requires i7 & fx8350, but i have low budget.. i think fx 6300 will allow for a medium level play, right?
later i will overclock it.

:)
In single core perfomance i3 is good.. what is the main use of single core perfomance..? copying speed etc right?

New cpu, new motherboard, new RAM (DDR3). I think your core 2 quad 8300 gtx 650 build will have to endure a little more.
Its at least a Rs 20k upgrade.

fx 6300 + new motherbrd+DDR3 RAM + gtx 650

Currently there's not any CPU at that price range other than FX6300 & i3.
Copying speed depends greatly on storage.

i3 has better single core performance but performance of FX 6300 using all cores will be much better, since most games now make use of 4/more than 4 cores, so FX 6300 will be better deal. And it can overclocked with right motherboard and cooling to get more performance out of it.

Not only games but most softwares are being coded to use more threads/cores and better single core performance of i3 will only be used in benchmarks designed to measure single core performance.

Yes, they won't be good while playing it at Ultra settings.

You have to lower the settings and decrease resolution to 1600×900p or lower to get playable FPS.

Games tend to be more GPU bound though. Upgrading the GPU will provide with biggest performance boost

When i said at least Rs 20k I was talking about fx-6300.

Are you curious about i3 capabilities? http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/build-your-own-budg...

watchdogs minimum reqirement is Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 @ 2.66Ghz or AMD Phenom II X4 940 @ 3.0Ghz..
And somewhere i saw that fx 6300 is good for watchdogs but only in low or medium settings.

Yes you'r right but you have to upgrade your GPU to something like R9 270 to play Watchdogs @1080p + Low/Medium settings

With GTX 650 you have to lower your resolution to something like 1366×768, if you'r okay with that.

As I already said that Games are more GPU bound and FX 6300 will be great for your budget

Is that AMD is a good brand? I never used AMD. I saw a complain about AMD FX .. check this,

Hi, i have CPU AMD FX6300, 6cores 3,5Ghz and working normal, but sometimes i got slow on all PC system, programs, games... CPUID HWMonitor show me in normal max 40°C in games and if i got this slow 206°C... and help me only restart pc... and motherboard, cpu, graphics is not hot...
For demonstration if i play Diablo 3 RoS 1080p and ultra setting i got 120fps... with slow cpu i have 5-20fps (Same in low details and lower resolution).
I have Windows 8 64Bit
MSI 760GM-P23 (FX) and Arctic Cooling Freezer 13

And what about the i3 4130? Is this a good deal?

The reason is simple. Using a cheap motherboard like MSI 760GM-P23 with FX 6300 will result in problems. That's why I recommended this motherboard Asus M5A97 R2.0.

AMD is good enough especially for their price/performance value.

Core i3 4130 sits between the performance of FX 4300 & FX 6300.

Get FX 6300 and you won't regret it.

if possible go with fx-6350...... Mobo like @ the range of MSI 760GM-P23 wont help when OC'ing cpu.... it will hold back the cpu.... If u wanna OC in future m5a97 r2.0 is best you can get, it has good feats too..... I won't recommend anything lower than Asus m5a97 r2.0...... A lot better choice than similar priced core i3..... And u should invest in Graphics for gaming pupose........
