The Forest, Extremely high processing

I've got a Core i7 2.0Ghz, 6GB RAM and 525M graphics card laptop. I should be able to play The Forest on at least minimum graphics. But when I run it and I open my task manager, the game is running at 2 200 350 K. Not even Skyrim on medium to high graphics runs that high. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this? The game is in Alpha stage, could that be the problem? Should I wait for a few updates or what?

With 6gb, the 2.2gb its using is still OK.

An i7 - 2 series is very old and not high performance now. And I gather its a GT525m gpu. You shouldn't expect a lot from this laptop.

Its a Core i7-2630QM 2.00GHz. Yes its a laptop, Its a Dell XPS 15. Yes the '2 200 350' is the RAM usage and its the highest I've ever seen, and I play alot of games(too much most would say) and I have 6gb RAM
