I have recently bought a pc and I wanted to connect it to wifi
Since my modem is placed away I can't connect it via LAN
I have heard about PCI cards and USB adapters!
Which is better and I don't want to spend too much money on it

I could afford anything upto INR 1000
So please help me!

USB is better for the price

PCI-E tend to have better download/upload speeds. Though Some USB's can beat them like the one I will mention below, for a good price.

This is a wifi adapter which is USB, I own this one also. The advantage to this is it has a USB extension with stand, making you have the ability to place it higher and get a better signal over any other standard USB Wifi adapter. It is also 5GHz, incase you have a super fast 5GHz modem.

I know it may be expensive, But try and save up for it.

If you can, link up a store.

Well the arguement for PCI/PCIe over USB(2.0) is the fact that PCI has dedicated lanes that transfer data in both directions (upstream and downstream) simultaneously, unlike USB 2.0 which has a single lane that can only go one way at a time.
In almost all use cases it shouldn't make a difference,

One advantage of having a USB adapter is the mobility otherwise both should work fine

USB adapter (upto 300 Mbps) http://www.flipkart.com/netgear-wna3100m-wi-fi-usb-mini-adapter/p/itmdzaspyefuj9zk

PCI card (upto 300 Mbps) http://www.flipkart.com/tp-link-tl-wn851nd-wireless-n-pci-adapter-nic/p/itmdhwfvuztnthfm
