Pretty much every game I play show small stutters about every second, regardless of fps. I also get similar stuttering when scrolling in firefox using the little scrolling orb you get when clicking the middle mouse button - not sure if this is related to the 3d performance however.
I've also noticed somewhat sub-par FPS in many games compared to what I've read in other peoples benchmarks. However, I seem to be getting the expected results when running benchmark programs.
I've tried lots of different things in order to solve my issues: changing/optimizing game settings, uninstalling/reinstalling/updating nvidia drivers, closing all background applications, unplugging other monitors (I have four total), moving the game files to my system drive (SSD), but nothing seems to help.
I've also noticed that forcing vsync through the nvidia control panel does not work - when playing games with forced vsync on (and ingame vsync settings set to off), fraps often shows FPS higher than 60 (I'm on a 60hz display, so 60 should be the limit, right?)
I'm running a GTX760, an i7 920 (not overclocked), 16gb ram and running my OS/games off an SSD.
I'm at a complete loss - does anyone know what could be causing my problems?
