Hello everyone,

I just recently removed my motherboard, thinking I would be able to fit the new one I just bought in my old case. I did not see the new one is an ATX, so while I am waiting for the new case I tried to replace the old motherboard back in and connected evertyhing (no missing screws or parts). The computer turns on, but it does not have any video output whatsoever, already tried VGA, HDMI, DVI, nothing (also removed video card and only used the motherboard's internal video). With the VGA (only one time), the monitor flickered with what seemed to look like quickly moving triangles and a cursor dash on the top left corner.

Also, the USBs directly attached to the motherboard do not seem to be getting any power, mouse won't turn on and keyboard won't either (no lights or laser). I made sure to have set the motherboard right on the case, was careful taking it out and putting it back in. I attached all the screws and made sure all connections were made. I have removed most hardware and still get no video. The computer turns on without any sounds or warnings.

I will appreciate any help you can give me.

Best wishes,

Al

It actually was the memory stick furthest to the CPU, I bumped it slightly as I was taking the MoBo out, didn't ocurr to me that memory was so delicate. It works now with 6GB and I won't replace it since I am just waiting for a case for my new build... Will be a lot more careful with memory next time.

Thankyou, your answer would have worked!
