Hello, I am uncertain which CPU is best for my new gaming rig, and the price differences are minimal except for the FX 6300 which is 100 dollars cheaper. I don't plan to overclock the CPU
and will just run at stock.

Appreciate any help.

The i5 4690 will be the best choice for gaming. (http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-4690-vs-AMD-FX-8350) the 8350 gets a score of 8.0 on single core applications (like games) and the 4690 gets a score of 9.8 in single core applications. The 4590 is just a tad bit slower than the 4690. The 6300 is more for budget gaming PCs.

Agreed.

To get the best from the FX6300 you have to set it up to overclock it, which will mean spending extra on an aftermarket cooler, a better motherboard and probably a better power supply and RAM.

So scratch it from your list

please that not a reputable site. Its biased to intel

Proof? I have not heard of such things.

i went on there like 2 days ago and i heard people saying that they always dis amd like nvida vs amd or intel vs amd so im pretty sure its not reputable. They said they raise the score for nvidia/intel vs amd like 8.5 gtx 760 vs 8.3 r9 280x then gtx 770 8.7 vs 8.3 gtx 760. Understand. Im not 100 percent sure.
