please help Asus 290 DC or R9 290 MSI Gaming?

Hi all,

I originally had a Asus R9 280X DC2T, it is under RMA in HK due to artifact at this moment

So my question is do I go for another 280X DC2T or should I fork out the extra US$64 for the MSI R9 290 or US155 for ASUS R9 290 DC.

Are the leaking oil problem to be fixed by msi?
Are MSI really much more noise and hot?

Please let me know your opinions. Thanks folks.

My personal preference for the 280x or the 290
is the gigabyte windforce editions , they have great heat dissapation and will serve you well and save you some money
compared to the asus
If i had to choose i would go the 290 for the RMA

Thank for both reply,
I know GIGA or SAP may be better,
However, the RMA service provider can only offer ASUS or MSI products to me as she is the agent of ASUS and MSI only....
So, the only question is .... is it worth to pay more US$90 for ASUS's 290?
Indeed, there is a few review for 290's products, I can't find any report to direct comparing the 290 between MSI and ASUS....

In general, I think Asus is better,
but I'm not sure if it's worth to pay extra US$90 .....

No, I just only pay USD64 to upgrade MSI 290 gaming, but USD155 for ASUS
Indeed, before asking this question, I have already searched many topic in tomshardware and other forum...
most of the ans is both to be good but prefer asus more
somebody said asus is quieter and cooler
some said msi is quiter and cooler......
some said asus's heatsink is designed for 780, not for 290, so will be lower performance....
some said asus quieter at low fan speed and msi will be quieter at full fan speed......

I'm really confused...........
