I have heard most people say windows 7 is better for gaming. After conducting some research of my own I have also found Windows 8 is okay as well. So I am wondering which to use for my gaming pc build http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2172667/1600-gaming-build.html. I am a little worried about windows 8 because it has glitched out twice on my laptop, but I am not sure if it is just my laptop or windows. The PC is roughly $1600 and I don't want to spend more money by getting it repaired by a shop because of a windows 8 glitch, so which should I use. Thank You!

I prefer the windows 7 interface but windows 8.1 has better "guts" and its license is not locked to the motherboard like 7 OEM. For that reason alone I would always recommend windows 8 unless you need a specific feature 7 has and 8 dropped.
