OK so I have a Z87-UD4H MB I have 3 intel SSD's setup with raid 0 2 of them are 330 120 gig SSD's and 1 is a 530 120 gig SSD, so here's the problem, if I shut off the raid in the bios, or I reset bios back to default it will not boot all the way, it stops at the gigabyte splash screen, were it has the bios options you know hit delete for bios F8 for Qflash and so on, the debug lights stop at A2 which is looking for scsi devises, so then I have to unplug all the SSD drives restart then it will go into the bios, then I reset the raid and plug in the SSD's and it will start normal, I emailed Gigabyte they told me to flash bios with F9 bios (which I had already done a month ago) so I pretty much said skip that idea, well today I gave in and flashed the bios again with the F9 bios and still the same problem, so has anybody with a Z87 gigabyte board run into this glitch, everything else runs great,

OK trouble shooting update,

so I went in the bios disabled the raid, unplugged the SSD's started normal, plugged in (one at a time) the two intel 330's and it started normal, I plug in the intel 530 will not start, plug all 3 drives in enable Raid runs normal, so the 530 is causing the problem, but is it the drive or the MB, drive runs normal in raid set,

another update I found out that haswell is not compatible with some sandforce SSD drives,

from what I'm reading it's lucky this thing works running in a raid set, most people that got a sandforce single drive never got them working at all, so I guess I just get new drives at some point,

but it says first generation sandforce, but is a 530 a first generation

530 is a second gen drive. imo there are two things i would check, the bios settings and if the bios has been updated to the latest firmware.

well found out it's the 2281 sandforce controller and that's what the 530 uses,

and intel has chosen not to fix the problem with a firmware update, at least as of now,

I have the latest bios and firmware installed, but it works as long as it's running in raid so i'll just sell it off to somebody I know that does not have a haswell, and get new SSD's eventually,

thanks for your response,
