im getting an r9 290 and how can i limit the noise

Hi the r9 290 ive hard people comparing the noise to a hairdresser is this true is it realy that noisy...... also im buying from cyberpowerpc and they offer case padding will this make the card quiter and will water cooling make the case quiter please ineed help is it realy that noisey.

That is the reference model of the R9 290. The non-reference gpu cooler like Sapphire Vapor X is much quieter than the stock cooler.
Of course waterblocks on R9 290 is very quiet.

Yes, if possible get the Sapphire Vapor-X R9 290. Silent, cool, and fast. Otherwise the TRI-X is good as well as others but make sure they have two or three big fans blowing on the card. Do not get the standard single fan board. That is the one that is noisy and hot.
