I have a Dell Optiplex 9020 with a Core i7-4770 CPU and 2x DisplayPort outputs. I am currently using those to drive 2x 24" LCDs at 1920x1200. Looking to upgrade to UHD and wondering if the onboard is enough to drive those. I don't play games and the most I do with video is on iTunes or YouTube.

If the onboard is not enough, what is a card I can get that won't take an external power connection?

Thanks for any input!

really don't waste your money on monitors if using just onboard video its so not worth it. why not just get a tv and hook up to it. running two high resolution wont do anything good without an add in card.

I don't know if the onboard supports 4k, and if it doesn't, what is a card I can use that does and does not need external power. That is my question.

TV? No. 4K TVs are HDMI only (usually) and would top out at 30Hz. Pass.
