ok guys, so basiclly i just got done buying all the parts for my gaming pc that ive been planning on building, but while i was on here asking questions about my powersupply i posted the specs of my system and someone told me that my cpu would bottleneck my system because i have a high end gpu and ram but apparently low end proccesor. the problem here is i just spent all my money on this stuff so right now im just going to stick to the build but i will want to eventually upgrade.so when i upgrade from a Amd athlon x4 740 to a Amd fx 6300 im also going to have to upgrade to another motherboard becuse the one i have has a fm2 socket and i will need a fm3 socket. anyway heres the question, when i install windows 7 os, does it install on the motherboard or the harddrive? in other words say i install windows 7 on my current system (which im going to) if i in the future decide to opgrade to a better mother board and proccesor, will i have to buy a whole new copy of windows 7 and reinstall it? thanks ahead of time for any help or guidance given, much appreciated. by the way incase your wondering heres my build

GPU-Msi r9 270
CPU-Amd athlon x4 740
Ram-8GB(4GBx2) G.skill ripjaws x series
HARDRIVE-WD blue caviar 1TB
MOTHERBOARD- Msi-A78m-e35
Case-nxzt source 210
Power supply- 430w corsair cx 430 80+ bronze

That CPU will bottleneck a high-end GPU(GTX 770 and up, R9 280and higher), but the 270 is not high end it's midrange. There will be a few games that may get slightly bottleneck(mainly cpu intensive games like GW2 or planetside 2). For the most part the 740 and the 270 should work ok together. If your copy of Win 7 is OEM then you would need to buy it again if you swapped motherboards.

Really? ive seen this graphics card benchmarked multiple games like bf3 and 4 crysis 3 and metro and it was able to pull off high on all those games except crysis at atleast 50 fps, and wats wrong with windows 7? ive heard from practiclly everyone it runs just as good if not better than windows 8, plus its easier to navigate

Well id say the whole reason that im switching over to pc frome consle gaming is because of day z. when i first started my build i made sure that i got a graphics card that was atleast twice as good as what they recommended for day z sa on steam. although i do understand it is in alpha i really see no reason why the r9 270 couldnt get atleast 45 fps on high if it cant then thats a problem for me because this card was $180, but i guess i would have to move to the gtx 760 if this is wat ur accusing it of
