I have no idea what that means. I have a PC I built myself and AMD video card with latest drivers. I play all the latest games and watch YouTube all the time. Vimeo videos cause BSOD. I dont understand why only that site would crash my PC

A codec is the interface between the OS and the media used. It's what allows Windows to run .mp3 or .mpeg files. If you have outdated codecs for whatever the Vimeo is running, it can possibly cause your pc to get confused as to what its supposed to do next. Usually this just shuts the programs down, but if malicious enough it can cause a bluescreen. Search windows update or Microsoft, they should have up to date codec packs, google if not. Only other thing I can think of that it could possibly be is malicious software being tagged onto the Vimeo site, and your browser is allowing 3rd party stuff like popups and scripts. Try setting your browser security a little tighter, if that's the case. Make sure your hosts file is locked and not accessible to outside sources.
