what do you think about this setup?

The R9 290 is a lot faster than the GTX 760, because the GPU chip on it is a lot faster. Specifications alone can't really tell you that; you need to read real-world benchmarks.

I'd personally hold out for the Core i5-4690K, expected to be available on June 25th. Its a refresh of the i5-4670K, slightly higher clock speed and better thermal performance for better overclocking for the same price. If you don't intend to overclock at all, then save some money and stick with the i5-4690.

Note that if you plan to overclock, you'll need a Z97 motherboard and a 'K'-series processor. If not, H97 is fine.

It is definately on the high side for a single card (~500-600W, is all you need atm) but its a quality PSU so if you will be overclocking or adding another card in the future you will need the headroom

Ok. Thats interesting. Im glad you showed me that. The only thing is i believe the motherboard i selected only supports crossfire, not sli. Looks like im gonna have to find a different motherboard, but thats no biggie

The one in your partspicker list has a second pci slot that only runs at x4 when the first slot is ocuppied, in order to crossfire or sli you should get a board operats at atleast pci2 x8 when the first is occupied, so as to not bottleneck the second card. The second board would be perfectly fine for sli mode.

As far as i am aware any board that supports xfire will also support sli

Ok, ya im gonna go with the 2nd board. But the specs do say the first board doesnt support sli, only crossfire. But surely with 2 760's would be more than enough. But, that would be down the road, so things might change then. Thank you for helping me sort things out

I like this build better, as you get a far better GPU.

Thats a good looking setup aswell. The only thing its missing is, no dual vid cards. And not many features for the motherboard. The one i had chosen has the new m2.5,support... I dont even have a clue what that is. But its new! Really though, what is it? But, the vid card you chose is only $90 more. So whats an extra $90 out of $1000? I think ill take it all. Just gonna be a while now. Have to get a new phone... :(
