Hi I have just ordered a sapphire HD 6870 and I am running windows 8.1 in 64bit but on the driver download list for the gpu there is a lot more for users on windows 7 to download but for windows 8 there is only the catalyst driver and hydro vision driver. I only need the catalyst driver but do I need anything else from the windows 7 software such as trixx oc utility and bios update for card? Thanks

You can use the sapphire site, but its easier to just get them from AMD directly. Since sapphire has the same drivers anyway. You also don't have to use the sapphire software exclusively to overclock the GPU. EVGA Precision, MSI Afterburner will work just as well.
