My system is as follows: Intel Q9650 3.0GHZ
Gigabyte EP45-UD3P
EVGA GTX 460 1GB 256bit
Kingston 8GB 800mhz ddr2 RAM
Seagate Barracuda 1 TB
Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1 TB
Western Digital Black 1 TB
Hitachi 500GB
Seasonic x750 Gold PSU
Coolermaster CM 590 Centurion case
2x Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor
1x Acer AL2216W 22-inch LCD Monitor
Asus Xonar DG
Audio-Technica ATH-M50
Altec Lansing / DELL ADA995 5.1 Dolby Digital THX Computer Speaker System
Logitech G700s Rechargeable Gaming Mouse
Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows
Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center

I am considering upgrading my GTX 460 to a GTX 750 TI ($150) or a GTX 660 ($180) because I want to utilize my 3 monitors as currently I can only use 2 with my GTX 460 also to boost scrubbing/seeking and reduce encoding time in Adobe Premiere Pro CC & CS6 with more cuda cores and updated architecture.
NB: I am trying to hold on to my system until the GTX 800 series, DDR 4 ram and Broadwell is released besides I need at least 6 mths to save the money for the new build thus I am not looking to spend too much $180 might be my max unless I see some king of promotion or sale like a GTX 760 for $200!

Then yes, the gtx660 is a good card capable of offering very decent gaming performance. Though you put down a price of $180, which i think is a bit high. i don't believe the 750ti is that much more powerful in games than you gtx460, unless you really need the low power small form factor.

for cs6 acceleration i would stay away from nvidia. amd has much of this rendering opencl/opengl stuff wrapped up very well and nvidia has stopped even trying to compete since the gtx 600 series.

even the extremely cheap and lowly amd hd7750 competes withing a second or two of both iterations of nvidias flagship 500 series and 600 series. if you really want to go nvidia, just find a gtx650 as it should be more than enough.

That's photoshop what about Premiere Pro CS6 as based on my research you are right but majority of codecs, effect and transitions do not work with open cl so maybe in 6mths or a year AMD might be a better option than nvidia (I really hope so or at least for things to be even) but right now for premiere the cuda based mercury engine seems to be better!

What you say memory what u mean ram or vram? I think you mean system ram and that would require the new build i plan to build in 6 months or a year as 16g ddr2 is not a feasible option unless you know of any 16gb ddr2 kits for less than $200!

I realized this is true for gaming for sure i am just not a 100% sure about Adobe Premiere Pro performance

there you go, premier pro cs6 benches. sorry bout the photoshop link, though i had the right one.

according to their benchmark the simple and inexpensive gtx650 is so close in performance to much more expensive nvidia cards that if all you need is premier pro cs6 performance from a gpu and you have no interest in gaming, there really isn't much point in spending much more than $100.

Though another option if you can afford it would be the gtx760 as it will provide exceptional gaming performance in all current games and games in the future.
