i just built this computer a couple days ago
4670k with h100i
780 ti
maximums vii hero
8gb at 1866
in a 760t

my idle cpu temps are 45-50 and under full load are at 70 but my 4th core is usually cooler but 5 degrees. theses temperatures seem really high, and nothing is overclocked.

More about : 4670k h100i high temps

yeah thats quiet high for aio, you might consider reseat the cooler as its pre-applied thermal and make sure everything is tight

it could be that. thats why pre applied thermal sucks sometimes because of unbalanced spread

do you have rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcohol about 50% or above ? use that with soft cloth to clean that paste

if reseatting the cooler isnt working, i suspect high vcore is the cause. However from what i see, im confused if that mobo vcore is actual VCORE or VCCIN. and cpu VID is constantly high. try to find vid in bio and adjust it on auto
here is my similar cpu

ok so i just took off the old thermal paste and re applied the old coolermaster one and made sure it was on good now my idle temps are 30c and full load is 40-45c !! so that worked and is it odd that my 3rd core seems 4-5c hotter ? or is that just normal random thing?

Yes, that is normal due to the sloppy job Intel did with the packaging. You would need to delid the chip to fix it, but don't, a 5deg difference is okay, not worth the risk. Of course in a week or so Intel is coming out with their new 4790K & 4690K processors that have a high quality packaging that will allow the chips to be overclocked to 5GHz to 5.5GHz air cooled.
