I'm planning on getting a processor upgrade and I chose the FX-8320 I need help picking a motherboard and cooler to overclock it because I'm a noob with overclocking. I want to get it to 4.2-4.5GHZ. I was thinking of getting a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 evo for a cooler but I am not sure, give me suggestions for both and my budget for the cooler is around $80 and for the mobo is max $200

More about : amd 8320 overclocking

I avoid top end motherboards . You just do not get value for money because you only get small performance gains , if any , over a competent mid range motherboard .
Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-m5a99xevo...
or
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-ga990...

Both cost $114 . Either will let you reach overclocks in the range you are looking for . The chipset on the gigabyte is technically better if you might use two graphics cards , but the difference is barely noticeable . For a single graphics card then the ASUS would be my choice .

The hyper 212 is a good cooler and the price is excellent , but it is not as good as a larger cooler

And Noctua have awesome quality

I heard that cooler has problems with RAM compatibility, you do know if it would work with Kingston hyper X red? I have 2x4GB

It should be easy enough to hit 4.5 Ghz when you have installed a good cooler .

For compatibility with RAM you will have to do a little research of the clearances of the cooler , and the height of the RAM and see if they conflict .
Another option could be a closed loop water cooler like a coolermaster seidon or corsair H80

Do you think the hyper 212 evo would do the job?

The Noctua NH D14 SE 2011 will not fit AMD mobos. It is designed for Intel LGA 2011 mobos and it will fit others, like mine, with an adapter kit.

The Noctua NH D14 will fit however: http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products...

And your Kingston RAM is compatible with it: http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=compatibility_ram_ge...

This is one of the best coolers that money can buy and I highly recommend it!

So I will need to get an adapter kit for it to work with my mobo? Also I would like to know if the Hyper 212 evo would be able to get the fx 8320 to 4.5ghz

No, no adapter kit needed for the NH D14. The adapter is for the SE 2011 version.

I'm no AMD expert, but pushing your CPU to 4.5 GHz with the Evo MAY be a bit too much.
