Rate my first gaming PC build

Solution

BF4 MultiPlayer on Ultra 1080p, 270x will run around Average 35-40 FPS, minimum 24 FPS and Maximum 60 FPS.
Titanfall at Ultra 1080p, should run at AVG 50- 70 FPS.
So it's ok'ey for fun playing, but it games like BF4 it can kill enjoyment and turn it into frustration, because your frames drooped in a important situation - personal experience on my friends PC

Regarding PSU's, here are even 2 better options and both are same...

Very neat set-up.
But we got nothing to rate it with.
What you want to achieve with it? For example, what frames in certain game or graphic settings, etc...
We got no specification material from you, about what you are going to use it for, and what you are aiming with it.

Otherwise all parts match, it's very balanced setup.
It's all great, if it suits your needs, so you should rate it yourself, and if you are happy with it, it's all great then.

For me personally I wouldn't be able to play recent games on Ultra/High settings on it, with good frame-rates.
In which case that would really make no point for me >personally< to make a Gaming PC, since if I wouldn't care for stuff like that. Then I would have settled for console gaming, since there is no hassle with it.

So for my own satisfaction I would exchange the GPU to an R9 280x and since I would do that, then I would also need to get better PSU with at least 650 Watts. While at it also add an SSD.
That's me personally, then I would be happy.

Therefore I would rate your system for 6.8 out of 10, in my own criteria, since like I said you didn't specify any.
Still like I wrote, there is nothing wrong with your set-up, you just didn't specify what you want to achieve with it.

I mostly play WoW because of the PvP so I'm looking for fps here. I want to get into first person shooters as well, as I'm a big console first person shooter guy. Total wattage with this set up is around 424 if I'm not mistaken and with the 280x it shouldn't breach 500 so I don't see a problem with my 500 psu, although I'm not experienced at all in building pcs

Thanks

I've only bought the psu, case and optical drive so far so I'm open to any changes. I can also send the psu back in exchange for a higher wattage if need be. I'm looking to run WoW on high/ultra settings on this rig and eventually make my way into more modern games. I'm open to suggestions on any other builds as well. I will be purchasing the final parts in the next 2-3 weeks. Trying to keep the budget under $700.

You should be completely great with FPS in WoW, with both GPU's, being 270x or 280x.
If you choose to go for 280x, even if you won't.
Here is price deal on Corsair CX 600 (same type you gave just higher wattage), for almost same price, if not less:
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cx600m

If NV put a 600 minimum wattage on PSU on their 770, while it draws less power than r9 280x.
Then there have to be reasoning behind it, and most people prefer at least 550 W, if not 600 W with the r9 280x. Also it's better to be safe than sorry with PSU's.
Hypothetically since the PSU will have some safe room and won't work continuously at full capacity, it will prolong it life spawn some. Still if that doesn't concerns you, then otherwise you could do some OC on your GPU.

Also, personally I would recommend this RAM:
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f31866c9d8gab - almost same price - better speeds also stable.

and here is just a suggestion, you should get Windows 8, instead Windows 7.
It is so much better than Windows 7, and I'm talking about here from personal experience.
Even more so after latest patch, where it added some more intuitiveness from old Win 7.
It is faster both normal app usage, as well as in gaming, it is less buggy now too, after it got patched and all.
Games get better support on it too nowadays, and WoW works normally even better than Windows 7.

I'm talking here as a person who used it from when it first came out, until 7 months ago.
When I changed to Win 8 on my Desktop, I was against Win 8, but I tried it, and it was cheaper and less DRM stuff with changing OS between PC's, and after 1 month or maybe even less.
It started to feel loot better than Windows 7.
Here you go, link to Win 8: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/microsoft-os-885370635690

I like your quick replies! I was hoping to get a modular psu so I don't have wires everywhere. I will need all the help I can get with this being my first build. 270x won't run modern games like bf4 at 50-70 fps? And as for oc'n I'm no where near that stage lol. That is way over my head right now.

Regarding PSU's, here are even 2 better options and both are same Semi-Modular like the one you posted at very smilar prices.
