In the market for an ultrabook for medical school, any suggestions? I want something that will be good for the next 4 years or so.

Minimum requirements-
CPU: Intel Core i5-4200
Graphics: Intel HD 5000, discrete graphics if possible
RAM: 8GB
Hard Drive: 128GB SSD
Screen: 1080P Glossy Screen (not matte), 14" if possible
Battery life: 5+ hours, ideally 6+ hours
Weight: Less than 4lbs ideally
Price: under 1500

Current Candidates:
Samsung Ativ Book 9 Plus
Samsung Ativ Book 8
Dell XPS 14 (a bit heavy at 4.6lbs)
ASUS Zenbook Prime
Acer Aspire S7-392
Samsung Series 7
Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 2 Pro
Sony VAIO Pro 13

If something has less RAM (that isn't soldered) or an HDD/SSD hybrid, I can always do the replacement myself.

Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, thanks for your answers!

The Acer Aspire S7-392 is probably my second best choice right after the ASUS Zenbook UX301-DH71T. I had an Acer S3 from 2012 and it was running well without problems, but I wanted something more future-proof for the next 4 years for daily computing needs.

What do you guys think about the Zenbook? Checking reviews, some people were having issues, but it seems that right after I get it as long as I update the bios and then update to windows 8.1 there shouldn't be any problems. It's more expensive than what I was willing to spend, but I think since I can get it under $1600 with Intel Iris HD graphics, a 256 GB SSD, and a 2.8GHZ Core i7 processor, it's a pretty good deal.

Good choice?

Wow, I did not know the two processors were that similar (http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-4558U-vs-Intel-Core-i5-4200U). I thought the difference was significant; I should have checked beforehand! Oh well, the i7 version was only $50 more than the i5 version. The Acer Aspire S7 was my second choice, but I preferred the ASUS because of the Iris graphics; I know it doesn't make much difference right now for my needs, but down the line it might.

Thanks for your help!
