Hello Guys,

I recently built my new gaming pc but I am having a problem. I connected my monitor with my motherboard via hdmi cable but instead of choosing my gpu as primary device for gaming it chose the igpu of my processor. I had to connect my gpu with my monitor with my vga to dvi cable. I cannot understand how to connect my monitor with the hdmi thru mobo but using my gpu as my primary gaming device. My specs:

Dell s2240l
i3 4130
gtx 750
asus b85m g

Thanks in advance for replying

Hi,

If you connect your monitor to the motherboard and not the GPU, it will be driven by the internal graphics. Your card has DVi and DisplayPort connectors, so you can choose to use either to connect your monitor. As far as I can tell, you monitor only supports D-sub and hdmi, so you have to buy something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812200368 if you want to use the hdmi port.
