I want to build my own pc and I have heard that the amds need an aftermarket cooler...I will buy the fx 8320 and I don't want to overclock right now... maybe in a few months, but I don't want to spend for an evo 212, I have seen the arctic cooler freezer 7 pro rev.2 ... will this cooler be ok?

And I want to buy maybe the m5a97 asus mobo or the 990xa-ud3(but I heard it has overheating problems and needs an update) or maybe even the 970-a-ud3p

Thanks in advance

Usually you download the bios file onto a flashdrive and use the bios flash tool through the bios, though it will be different depending on the vendor. It should be pretty straight forward in the manual.

For the ud3p it can be found on page 69 of the manual.

The CPU cooler will fit, how well it works is relative, it seems to be a mid tier cooler, you won't see any amazing temps, but it should be better than stock. Though I don't know how much cheaper it can be than the 212.

Concerning motherboards, you should ensure that whichever motherboard you choose has a good VRM section 8+2 if possible. AMD FX CPUs are power hungry and can easily overheat the VRM of lesser boards.

The cpu cooler is 20 euros cheaper, though I have already passed my budget that's why...
The ud3p has 8+2 but I think it needs a bios update... is this difficult to do or do I have to go only in the bios menu and press "update"?
