Hi guys,
I have a barebones system with the following specs :
Mobo : Intel D945GCPE
CPU : Core2Duo @2.4 Ghz
RAM : 2GB
HDD : 160GB Seagate (ST3160318AS)
DVD : Asus 24D3ST (SATA)
Now the problem is whenever I insert a disc into the DVD burner, the computer hangs. Nothing can be read/written to the HDD or to the DVD. Everything becomes alright if I remove the disc and let the computer idle for about 2 minutes. It seems as if both the SATA ports cannot be used simultaneously. Is this an issue with the onboard memory controller (ICH7) or the drives are faulty?
Thanks
