I have read a few threads about making laptops into second displays, and the only solution seems to be through software, i am just wondering if I can use my Fujitsu lifebook (which has a touchscreen display) as a touch screen display for my desktop, which would save me the hassle of getting a cheap Wacom tablet that wont do the same thing.

You can use Teamviewer Software www.teamviewer.com
The software needs to be installed on both sustems
You can control and see your Desktop from laptop
It requires Internet but common internet is not necessary. This means you can even control your desktop even when you are outside somewhere with your laptop

Yeah, ive tried this out and it seems to work ok, but i find the image is often low quality and has a low refresh rate, even when on the same network. i also need to tweak teh resolution to be able to fit on my small laptop screen. it works, but it is painful to use. I am more hoping for something that could almost be a second monitor, so i can drag and drop programs on to its display.
Thanks for fast reply, Teamveiwer does work, but i was hoping for something a bit more effective.
