i have a amd 6490m graphic card on an hp notebook and when i downloaded the update(it was around 260mb) and installed it,after updating ,the laptop rebooted and when it started ,the resolution changed to 800*600 and all the amd stuff like catalyst control center dissappeared and the laptop is giving me only 2 resolution choices-800*600 and 1024*768.and even the Intel graphic settings have disappeared

i guess the update has actually not updated but has reverted the graphic drivers to the oldest driver. and now, when i go to the device manager the display adapter shows i have a hd 7000 series??? what am i supposed to say now im thinking of going to the hp site and downloading the old graphic drivers(those are around 300mb) .............am i doing it riht or am i supposed to do something else??

i guess amd installed the wrong updates or something??
