Hi all, I was planning to build a new system & i've got no idea what PSU i'll need to run it all.. here are the specs

Corsair Obsidian 900D Super Tower Case

Intel Core i7 4930K

Corsair Hydro Series H75 CPU Cooler X 3

Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 Windforce 4GB X 3

(Waiting for the new thermaltake 360mm all in one water cooler)

ADATA XPG SX900 512GB SSD

Seagate Barracuda 3TB ST3000DM001

Kingston HyperX Beast KHX21C11T3K4/32X 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 X 2

ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition with Assassins Creed 4

NZXT Kraken G10 GPU Bracket Black X 3

So could anyone help me with picking a PSU please. :)  Please help!

Try putting it all together in pcparpicker.com - it will tell you a minimum power requirement.

Then add 200W or so to it, since I imagine you will be overclocking, and pick a good brand PSU (Corsair (Not CX series), XFX, Seasonic, etc)

Hi GamersUnite1
The Radeon R9-290 requires a psu with 31A on the +12v rail and a 550W psu minimum
I would suggest you get a psu of 600 - 650W for some headroom from ,
seasonic /xfx (also made by seasonic ) or any psu from the corsair TX , HX or AX range of PSU's

seasonic make the best psu's with high grade Japanese capacitors
This PSU has 104A on the +12v rail more than enough for your three cards and should handle your OC ,

the strider is a good choice for high wattage , not sure about quality though or the multiple combined +12v rails

Something to read,

So pretty much you can throw anything at the PSU & It'll run fine, so it'd be perfect for my config? :)

The system draws 1106w, well that's what pcpartpicker says.. wouldn't that 1000w psu die trying to run a system that needs a min 100w more?
