http://www.gigabyte.com/products/comparison/list.aspx?c...

770
Base / Boost clock:1137 / 1189 MHz
780
Base / Boost clock:954 / 1006 MHz

Memory Clock
770
7010 MHz
780
6008 MHz

With lower specs in everything - what's better?
Why its fps twice as much in same games?

Would be very happy if someone could explain the science behind it!

the gtx 780 is better! Its got more Cuda cores therefore can do more, faster like a 4 core cpu vs a 8 core
more Ram does not mean that that card is better! it helps if you have more monitors though

the 780 has more cuda cores, it has a 384 bit memory bus, it has more processing power, it has a higher bandwidth etc.
and the 770 is based on the gk106 architecture and the 780 is based on the gk110 architecture. the gk110 architecture is much more efficient than gk106

What ammount of FPS do you think is unnoticeable when maxing out? 40s-50's? And does the refresh rate of the monitor matters? Mine is 60hz
