Hi,

so, currently I am using a LG 22EN33 monitor. I got it when purchasing my PC back in February because it was the cheapest 1080p monitor (about £90 on dino pc where i got the pc from).

now, I wouldn't call myself a gamer, but I do play a number of strategy games on my PC, and recently I have been 'investigating' touch screen monitors because games such as Civ V and a game called Godus support touch monitors, and both would benefit from a touch screen I feel.

so really I am looking for some advice, I am not going to go out and buy a touch screen monitor any time soon as I just don't have the money.
but, are there any budget/cheap touch screens monitors on the market at the moment? they dont need to be 1080p, but they would need to be of decent quality and not second hand - it is not replacing my monitor now just going alongside.

also, I have been looking around and found this site here would this work with my monitor, because I am not keen on ripping my monitor to bits just to see if it is possible, but would anyone with better monitor knowledge than me be able to tell me if it is possible / or a varient of this is possible with my existing moniter?
as this would be alot easier than trying to setup a new monitor to fit on my small desk!

sorry it was a bit long and for the inevitable spelling mistakes. so below is a summery of my questions and my specs.

A)are there any budget/cheap touch screens monitors on the market at the moment?

B) can I adapt my current screen to a touch screen?

C) any alternative methods?

Specs
CPU: Intel Core i5 4670
Operating System: windows 8.1 64 bit
Motherboard: Gigabyte H87M-HD3
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1660mhz (2x4GB)
Graphics card: Palit GeForce GTX 750 StormX OC 1GB
Monitors: LG 21.5" 22EN33S-B LED (1080p and D-SUB only)
PSU: 500W PSU (generic)

thanks for your time!

Almost every gamer/desktop PC user i know absolutely abhors touchscreens.

Want to eat cheetos,or any other snack really, while you play that long Civ V game? Not on a touchscreen you dont.

Touch screens are nearly acceptable for All-In-One PCs,but even those arent meant for extended, daily, use.

You might get a couple newegg price quotes from someone but I wouldnt expect much useful information about converting normal LCDs to touchscreens(can you imagine trying to clean that?!) from Toms...
