Best solution
Cooler Master PSU's are not recommended
Get this instead→XFX ProSeries 750W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1750bbef...
It is Seasonic made, Gold certified and modular.
The CM Silent Pro M2 PSU is from Tier 3 while XFX Pro PSU is from Tier 2 Class A

Depends on the quality of the power supply, but 900w is plenty for even a pair of 290s. What brand/model is it?ok 900 watt psu is very rare in my place so will a 850 watt psu do
i was thinking of a cooler master silent pro M2 850 watt
Like said above, a good quality 600w power supply would be ideal for a single R9 290. I would go somewhere in there to save some money

750W is more than enough
You'll need a decent quality 600-650W PSU to power your system
This PSU will power your system fine and is a good quality one

At max load, your system won't pull over 400w.

R9 290 won't draw more than 350W at peak load

Yes, it is a pretty solid unit
But again I will recommend XFX ProSeries 750W instead.
The RM 750W PSU has operating temperature range of 0-40°C while XFX ProSeries 750W has 0-50°C. This is an important factor in judging the quality of PSU.
Also the RM750 & RM850 units are made by Chicony instead of CWT(Channel Well Technology).
