Hello,

I have an Apple 30" Cinema Display that I am using as a monitor to my Dell Latitude E6400. Right now, the 30" will only show 1200x800. It should be able to show 1920x1080 (since it has a native of 2560x1600, but I don't think my laptop will support this), as it says my laptop's graphics card supports dual link DVI. The display has cables that include a dvi, usb, somthing to plug into the power brick, and 1 other I am unfamiliar with.

At the moment I have a dvi to hdmi, where the hdmi is plugged into the laptop. I am looking for a cable to use that will allow higher resolution. I suspect I may need some sort of DVI femael to DVI female, but really am not sure. Any help would be awesome!

After a bit more looking into, the laptop actually does not have an hdmi so I am using the dp. I have a dp to dvi cable as you suggest, but it does not recognize that the screen can go to a higher resolution. I have gone into the NVIDIA control pannel, selected the cinema display, and it actually does show that it could go up to 1920. But when I go up to 1920 and hit accept, it always revers back to the lower res. It still never shows in the normal "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display\Screen Resolution" path that it would go above 1280..
