Hello. I'm sorry if theres identical thread about this.
I've recently purchased Samsung 840 Evo, because I was getting pissed by how slow my OS loads on my hard drive, which now is only my storage drive for downloads. I installed the ssd, made a fresh windows 8 install on it from USB stick, formatted hdd, set ssd as primary boot.
At first everything seems OK, but the OS sometimes becomes unresponsive. I can move my mouse, open some stuff, but most programs are hanging, turn into "not responding" state. I give it about 20-30 seconds and the freeze up ends. This usually happens when I'm opening a bunch of programs and tabs at once, especially after boot up. It's really frustrating, because I purchased the SSD just for that :lol:
off topic, I also have problem enabling AHCI
If I enable it, my system doesn't see my hard drive anymore and samsung magician still shows that ahci is disabled.
