About a week ago my internet connection started having issues. Everything was fine, I went out for a couple hours, came back and something (no idea what) had happened to the router. It was blinking red and I had to reset it a couple of times. After I got it reset two of the computers (a laptop connected wirelessly and a PC connected through ethernet), and my Kindle picked up the network just fine and have been working great since. One computer, an older Windows Vista PC, only gets the internet in bits and pieces. I use a MediaLink USB with it because the layout of the house doesn't allow for an ethernet cord. This has worked well until this point, and it shows that I get plenty of signal. Sometimes it works better than others, but never for longer than a minute or two. It seems to be getting worse.

I run the thing that is supposed to diagnose connection problems, but it always has a different answer. Sometimes it wants me to reset the connection or get new IP settings. I've tried these and they only work for a few seconds if at all. Most of the time it says there is nothing wrong with the connection.

It does not seem like any viruses I have seen, but I still scanned it with Malware Bytes, which found something, but even after I took care of that the problems continue. What is wrong and how do I fix it?

Computer is an older Hewlett Packard PC
Internet is ATT Uverse, and the router is the one that came with it
Computer connected wirelessly using: Medialink Wireless-N USB Adapter (300 Mbps) - 802.11n, 2.4 ghz

Solution
Well, if your Kindle works without problems I would think that is your PC himself, maybe the network adapter is starting to fail.
