The i5 may be better than the FX-4350 but the 7770 is the better card

Take the cyber power

Edit: it also has a 2tb hard drive and 8gb ram while they other computer only has 1tb and 4gb of ram.

None of the builds list the exact model of the PSU. So if you're going to be doing some upgrading from either of those PCs, you need to include the cost of a new PSU as well.

My vote goes to the i5 -IF- you plan on buying a better GPU and a new PSU.

If not, go with the 4350.

Why wouldn't he just build a pc himself then? :p

The PSU/mobos are always bad in prebuilts. If he needs to replace them and the GPU also, he is basically taking apart the whole computer, wasting money on 3 parts he just bought in his new build and then spending even more on replacing them. His PC would be like 700 euro by then. :S

If you want some help in building a computer, we could probably design a nice build with the i5-4440 for around 600-650 euro. :)

Perhaps because people can't afford to spend that much money at one time, decide to buy a prebuilt, and upgrade it at future date? While it's not ideal, there are reasons as to why people buy prebuilt, and why people can't exactly go with building their own, which is obviously the best choice in a vast majority of scenarios.

fair point :)

I just meant if he's going to learn how to take things apart and replace parts etc, then building a $450-500 upgradeable pc now instead is also a very viable option.
