I've had my computer for almost a year now (Came pre built, got it from http://www.bestbuy.com/site/cyberpowerpc-gamer-ultra-desktop-amd-fx-series-8gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive/1295117.p?id=1219047438229&skuId=1295117&st=pcmcat287600050002_categoryid$abcat0501000&cp=3&lp=9 )
Everything has been workings fine, except that my CPU fan has had some resistance when its been trying to spin over the last few days,. Sometimes it works fine, but other times it doesn't spin at all and I shut my computer down since I don't want anything overheating.
I don't think it has anything to do with the header, because its only physical resistance that prevents the fan from spinning when I've looked inside of the case.

Will I need to buy a new fan? Or is there something else that I am missing?

Solution
you have 2 options at this point. Replace the fan or get an aftermarket cooler. because fans cost between $10 -$15 I recommend getting a cooler if it will fit. The Cooler master hyper 212 evo is an excellent cooler for around the $35 mark. It has one of the best price vs performance ratios.
