I am bulding a budget gaming pc and cannot decide on the gpu. I had my heart set on the 260x and fits my budget also ( around the rs. 10,000 mark) but i have come across a lot of posts regarding glitches and problems in this site. Granted that every card will have some sort of remark against it, but this problem seems endemic. Currently i am in a relatively remote area and purchasing everything online. Therefore, getting glitchy equipment is a real headache. i mean more so. Informed advice about the reported glitches would help me a lot.

Or should i go for the gtx 650ti? What is the drop in performance? Or please suggest another card for the same price or lower. I m a moderate gamer. What i mean is i am not aiming for particular fps for particular games i just want the best value for money for the approximate cost of the r7 260x.

Fx 6300, gigabyte ga 970a ds3p, corsair xms3 2x4gb ddr3 ram, corsair vs550w, seagate barracuda 1 tb hdd, circle cc820 gaming cabinet.

I would go with the R7-260X. I am on this site daily and never heard of any issues with that particular gfx card.

I unselected best answer for you. But yes, you can repost it if you want. Maybe try a different category.

Unless there's something you've read about the 260X in particular, I really can't think of any issues that are related to that model. I have a R9-290X and a R9-280 that have no issues I'm aware of.

I have just bought a 260x for 2 weeks. Running games fine, no problem. As you, I worried about running into 260x problems. I can't really recommend getting one, I'm happy with mine, but maybe it's because I'm lucky. But for the money, nothing can beat 260x now.

Like you mine ran good for a few weeks. It's only a matter of time before you get a black screen too. If you found a fix please post it here
