So, I wiped my hard drive but now I can't play Fallout New Vegas no more, I don't know why since all my games are running but every time I try to launch the game gives me this error, I searched a lot in many forums and I cant find the answer. And no, I don't need to disable McAfee

Solution
I can't quite tell what you did wrong, but it's obvious that something important was on the drive you wiped.

My suggestion is to do THIS:

1) Keep the "STEAMAPPS" folder (move to another folder or whatever)

2) Delete Steam completely, reboot, reinstall it (perhaps to D-drive this time if space is an issue) and Sign in.

3) MOVE the "Steamapps" folder over to replace the new one.

I did this when reinstalling Windows so I didn't have to re-download all my games. Your SAVE GAMES should also be fine since they are in your "Documents" folder. I've never had an issue with that.

Yes, its on Steam.
Yes, I verified the local content (and also reinstalled the game).
No, I don't have mods
And the game was installed on driver D, just Steam was installed in the C and all my other games from Steam that are in the same folder with New Vegas in driver D are running, but I always have the problem to run them with error 53, so I have to launch Steam offline mode but that doesnt help it either with Fallout
