Sapphire vapor-x R9 290 Black screen

So I decided to pull the trigger on getting a sapphire 290 vapor x I was previously running 2 680 in sli. I got my card today and Installed it no problems. However the second I install any catalyst software I get a black screen on log on it varies from 3 seconds after initial log in to 4 or 5 minutes. However it's not a full crash anything playing still plays my screen just flashes black and I have full sound and monitor stays on just displaying black. However if I don't install any Catalyst Software I have no black screen. I am using my computer in this manner at this moment I am at a lost is this something I need to do an rma for or something I am missing

Msi x58 pro-e

Same card but no black screen like you encounter, i get black screen only when my PC is idle and it closes the monitor, sometimes it doesn`t exit this "black screen", and like you said, is not a crash. Other than this .. no other issues ... using Catalyst 14.6 beta

Yeah that is the weird part I have yet to even try to play a games as it just happens on desktop when I am idle or looking something up. I have tried Catalyst 14.4 &14.6 and have yet to try 13.12..I also installed tri xx and shut off areo as some ppl reported that causing problems everything temp and clock speed look great. Then flash to black and that's it sound and everything keeps going
