Hello everyone...I have an odd one for you today,

I have a Intel 3770K and an AMD 7950 GPU for reference.
Using Windows 8.1.

Sometimes when my display turns off when my PC idles for a while when I type on keyboard/move mouse the display doesn't come back on...when I reset my PC it gets to the Windows 8 loading/splash screen and after it loads I get a black screen...it does this until I get the startup repair option. If I boot up into safe mode and run the Display Driver Uninstaller and remove the Intel Drivers I can boot into windows completely normally and use my PC with no issues until my PC's monitor goes into standby again.

I don't know what could be causing this issue because there is no trace of Intel graphics drivers on my system.

Thanks,
Mason

Look up the drivers for your specific monitor, as sometimes an incompatibility between those and the actual GPU drivers for your card. That being said, you have an AMD GPU, meaning your display drivers should come from AMD, not intel.

I'll download the monitor drivers right now, and for the Intel driver thing...I know that I need AMD drivers...I have the latest installed right now...but it entirely fixes my problem when I got into safe mode and run the Display Driver Uninstaller and select the intel drivers...I know it is very weird.

Out of desperation you could do a Windows reinstall, that will likely fix your issue. As to what specifically causing it, I really don't know.
