I have a Asus maximus vi formula. It comes with a wireless adapter that goes into mpcie slot in the mother board.

I haven't been able to connect to my home router wirelessly. I was told that my router is only 2.4 GHz and my adapter is 2.4ghz/5ghz. But why is it that I can connect to my phone hot spot but not the home WiFi?

Every time I connect, it says unable to connect to network.

Anyone know how yo fix? I'm using Rogers. I've called them for help. But they've never been able to solve this.

Solution
Should be able to, make sure your router is set for 2.4, and make sure you have the latest Drivers as well as BIOS from the mobo web page
