Hey guys , Im currently changing my gtx 770 for 2 280x , I have one already ordered that I got for really cheap , thats why im changing my cards , the issue is that I want one at the same price but , its not the same brand= Gigabytes. Can I crossfire a Gigabyte with for instance Msi, xfx , etc.

My psu is a 80+bronze 750w certified , I have nothing o/c so it will be Okay ,

It is my understanding that Crossfire is far less picky about what cards it will work with than say Nvidia with SLI. I believe that the requirement for a proper crossfire duo is that the cards run off of the same internal architecture, not which company manufactured the card.

I did some research for you, turns out I was correct.

It won't be a problem. The Crossfire interaction is all controlled by AMD stuff, the OEMs just rearrange stuff on the boards and put different fans on them, they don't modify the chips on the boards so as far as your computer is concerned a Gigabyte 270x looks exactly the same as a Sapphire 270x

Certified 80+ Bronze tells you the comparative electricity usage which may amount to a few cents a month; that's about it.

This is Guru3D's generic power supply recommendation for the R7 and R9 series:

AMD R9 280X - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550 Watt power supply unit.
AMD R9 280X Crossfire - On your average system the cards require you to have a 750 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

If you are going to overclock GPU or processor, then we do recommend you purchase something with some more stamina.

So if you have a quality PSU and aren't going to overclock, I'd say you were OK with the 750 watter.

Top Tier : Most Corsair HX series, Seasonic X series
2nd Tier: Corsair TX V2, RM series, Seasonic M12 series, XFX Core Edition, most Antec HCG / HCP series

I would not do any more then moderate overclocking or use multiple cards with Corsair CX series, Antec Neo, Earthwatts .... all very good PSUs "for the money", but not IMO up to that kinda loading on a daily basis.
