I'm working on my first ever build and I have picked my parts already but I am still unsure about my choice of motherboard. Could I get anyone's opinions about my selection?

* CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor
* Motherboard: ASRock 970 EXTREME4 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
* Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
* Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 280X 3GB TWIN FROZR Video Card

Are there any other boards that I should be looking at instead?

Note: I intend to OC eventually and these parts fit my budget and I would like to keep the motherboard at less than $100.

That asrock board isn't really worth it for a 970 board, it doesn't have that great of power delivery. Get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128651&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID= which has an 8+2 power phase and is cheaper.

Yea I have had some bad deals with ASrock before. If I was you, I would go with the Gigabyte board like he suggested.

Btw if you can, save up a little more and go for an 8-core AMD FX 8350. Just because it doesn't seem a lot of CPUs, if any, will be made for this socket. You might as well go ahead and buy the best one you can. It just seems a better idea for the long run.

Thanks for the suggestion! I hope I can find it though...

Any other board you could suggest? I don't live in the US so availability is an issue.
