Hello all... I have an old HP Pavilliion that has started freezing shortly after startup, just after reaching the home desktop. It is a Windows XP machine, but I encounter the same problem when booting a Linux live CD which installs entirely in RAM (Wary Puppy 5.3). I have done this with the hard drive unplugged - same result, so I believe it to be a hardware issue, but not related to the hard drive (?)
Any suggestions?
