Been wanting to upgrade my graphics card lately, so I've been doing some searching around, my price range was about $300, figured that you could get a pretty good one at that price without hitting diminishing returns real bad. So I've had my eye on either a Nvidia GTX 770, an AMD R9 280x, or maybe even an R9 290 if I want to splurge a little. My question is will my PSU handle all/any of these cards with my current setup:
500GB SATA HDD
1 TB SATA HDD
2x4GB RAM
AMD 8100 Processor
DVD RW Drive
3xLED Fans

I tried researching this online, and came up with estimates as low as 500w and as high as 1250w. I have a 620w (Antec I believe) power supply and just want to know if it can handle the addition of any of these cards. Additionally, I've heard that these cards (particularly the 290) have problems with fans and heat, I'm not particularly loyal to AMD or Nvidia, so I'm open to all suggestions.

More about : 620w psu handle 770 280x 290

620w is enough power yes, and antec makes good psu's, so aslong as it has enough power connectors (1x 6-pin and 1x 8-pin) it will be just fine.

I have a similar setup FX 8350 oc at 4.5 and 280x also oc.
I use the same psu and my system run fine even planing to sell my 280x and get a 290.

Ok, thanks for the info. I have a 7750 in it right now, so I elected to leave that out as I'd be replacing it with the new one. I have no plans to overclock by the way. So will I need to connect the GPU directly to the power supply? I thought I just connected the power supply to the motherboard for that, at least it looks like that with my current card. I just checked my PSU, and it looks like I have 2 free 6/8 pin connectors. Lastly, this is my motherboard, it'll fit right?

EDIT: I meant 6+2 pin connectors

the power connectors go from the psu into the card itself, not the board. it will be just fine, any pcie x16 card will fit in any mobo with an empty pcie x16 slot.

The reason your 7750 doesn't require 6 pin connection was because it low power
Do you mean the gpu or case?
If gpu it fit fine, if case then what is your case.

I meant GPU, I'm pretty sure it'll fit in my case, it's not a tiny one, and has a good amount of room around the mainboard. Here's the link for the computer I bought, just for posterity/comprehensiveness. It's not a great one, but I just started getting into this sort of thing.

Then it should work fine.
