r7-260x < GTX 750ti < r7-265/HD 7850

the 265 can typically be found for less then the 750ti and would be a better gpu.

^ Pretty much that

I agree the 7805/r7 265 is pretty awesome, had one myself for a year

yep^^^ only reason to even consider the 750 ti is if the powersupply is really weak, its perf per watt is really good

The GTX 750 Ti is about 12% faster and with all those Ubisoft games, you'll most definitely want to get an Nvidia card. Ubisoft has a partnership with Nvidia that offers exclusive graphics options and improved performance on Nvidia hardware.

battlefield 4 and likely far cry 4 will be gaming evolved titles, since fc3 was, meaning they will have better performance on radeon cards, and those 'NVidia features' are mainly a gimmick, I own both and there really isn't much difference visually,

Ubisoft will only have better launch drivers on Nvidia imo and AMD has their partners as well

So the AMD guys think its better to get an AMD card for a bunch of Nvidia sponsored games. Just want to be clear, in case aasimas wasn't following closely enough.

I would recommend which ever card in the price range provides better overall performance per buck

Right now that is the R9 280

Back before the R9 280 released and when 7950 Boosts dried up, I recommended 760's

lets not get into a NVidia vs ati debate. I prefer the ati over NVidia. I have never used NVidia. but guys if u can answer this.my pc came with a ati 5570 which uses 300W psu and also is 128bit memory bandwidth while the r7 265 uses 500W psu and is 256 bit memory bandwith. I am willing to upgrade my psu but will the r7 265 fit and work in my pc?

if you have a 300W psu, get the 750ti.

that was important info not included in your original post.

yep. the 265 is not a particularly power hungry gpu

Yay Canada! and yes it does help

I would actually sugges either one of these R9 270s as they are cheaper than most R7 265/750 ti's right now

For PSU, I would go for the EVGA 500 for the budget option and the XFX 550W one if you want a bit more quality
