M power max is a higher class board but the gaming 7 will suit most needs, basically a question what you want to spend.

If you won't use the those fancy extra features on the Mpower, get the z97 gaming 7. The gaming 7 will have all the basics. And the Mpower is more expensive.

As before the Gaming 7 will suit most if not all needs just a matter how much you want to spend or select a color combination, all are good boards aimed at enthusiasts.

If your build is yellow/black you could go for the Mpower, but if not, just go for the gaming7, it will fit also any color scheme.
