I read about "bottlenecking" and I don't want to waste money on a card that will bottleneck my system. Please be forgiving here if any of this sounds noobish to you.

Here's my budget range and system specs:

Budget: Up to $300 (maybe higher if absolutely needed)
Processors (2): Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5520 @ 2.27GHz
Memory (RAM): 8.00 GB
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 5800 Series
Gaming Graphics: 4859 MB Total available graphics memory
Primary hard disk: 400GB Free (931GB Total)
Number of processor cores: 8
Primary monitor resolution: 1920x1080
DirectX Version: DirectX 11

So what do you all think? I want to be able to run upcoming titles like Dragon Age Inquisition and The Witcher 3 on Ultra settings. As it stands, my computer can only run Wildstar and Titanfall, for example, at Medium settings.

I've had this PC with everything the exact same way since late 2010. I'm feeling like it's probably time for a graphics card upgrade at least.

Any suggestions? A little list of possible upgrades from this card to a card easily compatible with my system would be so very appreciated.

Thanks in advance to anyone who answers helpfully!
